  • Happy talk must die

The place this advise came into play the most was definately on my home page. Originally the first paragraph was five or six sentences long and talked all about how design is like a journey. I soon realized a lot of this paragraph could be easily replaced with Klug's "blah blah blah." I basically decided to strip it down to its bare minimum, and cut out all the crap. What is left is what I deemed absolutely appripriate and necessary

  • Instructions must die

This advise was very useful as I went about writing my research, concepting, and presentation pages. The point of my site is to offer advise, but I don't need to explain absolutely every particle of my information. At some point I have to sit back and allow my users interpret what I offer as they will. For instance, I considered giving a short description of every site in my list of links on the research pageI realized, however, that this overbearing instruction was overkill, and "must die" as Klug says. So I merely organized the links into categories and left it at that.
